Welcome to Talco-Dintec
Talco - Dintec is a Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CEPT) for the cluster of tanneries at Dindigul was established in 1996. The Talco-Dintec works under the management of M/s. Talco Dindigul Tanners Enviro Control Systems (P) Ltd. Currently about 49 tanneries are under operation. The tanneries connected to the DINTEC CETP to process Raw hides and skins to semi-finished EI leather. Read more
Treatment Systems
The salient features of treatment and other control systems in Talco Dintec CETP in Dindigul
Water Treatment Systems
PRE-TREATMENT SYSTEM
Physico-chemical system, calcium hydroxide was used as a coagulant material for chromium precipitation and plain sedimentation was applied for reducing of COD, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5) and TSS.
AERATION SYSTEM
Aeration are typically connected to a piping system which is supplied with pressurized air by a blower.
MECHANICAL DEWATERING SYSTEM
Mechanical dewatering is normally associated with large wastewater treatment plants and is used to separate sludge (residual sludge from wastewater treatment plants or faecal sludge from on-site sanitation) into a liquid and a solid part.
REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM
Reverse osmosis(RO) is a water purification technology that uses a semipermeable membrane to remove ions, molecules and larger particles from water.
ULTRA FILTRATION SYSTEM
Ultrafiltration is a promising, environment-friendly alternative to the current physicochemicalbased tannery wastewater treatment.
ZERO LIQUID DISCHARGE SYSTEM
Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) is a Water Treatment Process in which all Wastewater is Purified and Recycled; Therefore, ZLD at the end of the treatment.
